When I went to the MSP tour, I was lucky enough to have Listening Party tickets so I got to listen to songs from Dirty Work and meet the boys. I got hugs and pictures with all of them. The best part of the whole experience, though, was when Rian Dawson complimented me on my manicure and said, “I wish I was a girl so I could have a French manicure and people wouldn’t judge me.” Haha. Too cute!

          Ok so for the longest time in my life I was just unhappy and felt like I didn’t relate to anyone and that no one got how I was feeling. That’s when I was self harming and just felt like I couldn’t stop. Then one day I hear “lullabies” by all time low and just started crying non stop. I listen to that song on repeat for a good two weeks. It made me feel like if I was gone people would care ya know. So I went and got like everyone of their songs and started listening to them and learned all there names and fell in love with all of them and I stopped self harming and just let my self drown in their music. now when I feel like cutting I go learn a song of theirs on guitar or just blar their music and it makes me feel so much better. I’m going to try and met them and tell them my story one day.

So I couldn’t believe it when I managed to get m&g from THC. I cried, yes I cried like a baby. It was around a week before the actual gig when I found out so I’ll skip up to the day…

So on the day I decided I would go into Newcastle quite early just so I could hang with some friends because I knew I wouldn’t be able to find them inside with getting EE with the m&g. I think I got to the venue at around 11am. But anyway I just spent some time with my friends until they split the queue and I went into the m&g queue, I was shaking and still to this day I’m not sure if I was shaking because it was so cold, because I was excited or because I was nervous. Maybe a mix of all three. I found my friend who had came from Berwick and also had m&g and we stood in the queue together, I’m glad she was with me otherwise I probably wouldn’t have said anything to the guys because I’m so shy.

We waited around 20 minutes and then a guy came out to get us (it wasn’t Matt). When it was my turn to tell him my name he couldn’t understand me, it was so funny, everyone around us were like “she said her name’s JODIE!” the guy was just laughing and said “god it’s you northerners, I can’t understand you” eventually he clicked on that my name was Jodie and let me in. By this time I was super nervous. We had to queue on some stairs and then Matt took us into the actual venue. He gave his do’s & don’ts speech and then… They came in… I can still remember when they came into the room, a few people squeaked and squealed which I don’t understand but hey ho… Alex took these massive steps and yeah it was funny.

We decided to go to Alex first because I had something to give him… Basically on twitter a few months before the m&g I tweeted him saying “boiled potato, mashed potato or roasted potato?” And I really didn’t expect him to reply but he did… He said “Sweet Potato!”… Then I had this crazy idea to give him a sweet potato, and of course the people of twitter egged me on to do it so I had to… Getting back to the m&g… So we walked over to him and there was a few people talking to him and then it was our turn, my friend said hi and he remembered her because she had been to the Glasgow m&g too, then she said “my friend has something to give you and she’s been nervous about it all day” then he looked at me and I just wanted to die right there… So I got this sweet potato out of my bag and I could see him smirking as I was taking it out, then I gave it to him. I told him to read the tag (I had wrote the tweets on it) and he did. He started laughing and was just like “damn! you really gave me a sweet potato!” then he ran over to Colussy and was like “Colussy! I got a sweet potato!” Colussy’s exact reply was “you got a sweet potato… o.O” he was laughing too. Then Alex came back and myself and my friend got photos. He then went over to Rian and I swear he said “I just got a potato” or something and they were laughing. I’m so glad he found it funny otherwise it would have been a disaster. So then we went over to Jack, and weirdly I was the most nervous to meet Jack, I guess you could say he’s my favourite but I don’t really like saying that because well they’re all great… He spoke to my friend about mini eggs and shot glasses and I was just kinda smiling, but when we went over he turned to me and was like “HII!” and I awkwardly just replied with “hiii”. My friend got her photo then I got mine and asked for a hug, his hugs are the best! Then for some reason we thought the photo didn’t work so I asked for another one and he was totally fine with that, but it actually turns out both photos worked so yeaaah. Then we went over to Rian, he is so lovely! When it was my turn to get a photo with him my camera messed up which was a bit awkward but we got it to work and then my friend took a photo but it blurred so I was just stood there with my arm around Rian Dawson for a good couple of minutes while we took another photo… When I let go of him I got caught on his jacket, which was funny. Then we went to Zack, he was talking to one girl and then she left and we stood with him for a lil while and he explained to my friend that he had been drinking the Jack Daniels she had bought them on stage and she didn’t even realise! Zack is so lovely, and I’ve heard people say he doesn’t really talk much but he was so chatty this day! We got our photos and said goodbye. My friend had balcony seats so I said goodbye to her and then went to the barrier, I was just a little to the right of Alex. When I went up the barrier the girl I stood next to said “I’m saving this place for my friend” so I moved along a little bit and Evan was stood next to me… Evan Kirkendall! He turned to me and said “sorry I’m saving this space for my friends!” and spread his arms out over the barrier, I just looked at him and started laughing and he smiled. The gig was amazing. I managed to get We Are The In Crowd’s setlist and The Maine’s setlist so I was ecstatic! When the gig ended I was determined to get ATL’s setlist, I shouted of Evan but he didn’t hear me :( But then a guy walked along the front of the barrier and I shouted “excuse me! Could I have that setlist please” and he nodded and turned to the stage to get Zack’s setlist, asdfghjkl then he turned to me and as he was going to give it to me another girl put her hand onto it and he looked at me and he probably could see that I was like “D:” so he said “sorry she asked for it” then gave me it, I was so grateful! omg. I did hear the other girl say “ehh what the hell!” But I did ask for it so sorry other girl… Basically it was perfect, the whole day was perfect. Apart from the fact my lips look blue in my photos because I was so cold everything else was amazing and perfect and I wan’t to relive it. Sorry this is so long! But props to you if you read it all!

Meeting All Time Low was honestly probably the best thing to have ever happened to me. We were all waiting in the venue after Flyzik gave us his little speech on touching and inappropriate touching and then like five minutes later the door opened and in came Zack! Of course, everyone went a little crazy over the first arrival and my friends and I went straight over to Zack. I got my JAGK postcard signed and then got a photo, but my camera broke! D: This meant my friend had to find her camera and take it on hers which meant I had to stay with my arm around Zack for like five minutes (i can’t complain, his coat was so cozy to be snuggled into!) and then we moved onto Rian. Rian’s teeth were perfect, as usual. We got our stuff signed, and then we had our photos whilst Rian acted a little bit crazy through shouting hi at Flyzik for what appeared to be no reason- it was funny :’)

Next we moved onto Jack who was completely random as usual- he stroked my friend’s coat and told me I was really rude to her, to which we explained our love-hate relationship to him. He was like ‘wow, okay!’ and then moved on to trying out his best British accent which made my almost cry with laughter, and then he complemented my celebratory dance when i got the camera to start working properly. When I got my photo with him, my friend took two photos- one of me and him normally and one of me kissing him on the cheek. THAT’S RIGHT, I KISSED JACK ON THE CHEEK. It was a pretty perfect moment in my life, and I have photo evidence! Then Alex decided to announce his desperate need to pee, so we ran over to him. I got the worlds best hug, a fabulous photo, a signature and a small ‘thanks for coming out!’ conversation and also a warning during the hug that he might pee on me. Omg it was just perfect, and the show pretty much matched it up in perfection.

omfg not even joking, meeting all time low last night was so perfect. I almost burst into tears when they walked in the door for meet and greet haha! I got them all to sign my t-shirt and got photo’s with all of them and got hugs from all of them and then Jack tweeted me this morning asdfghjkl The show was so perfect too, i was right up against the barrier infront of zack for the whole night and he kept looking at me and John from the maine pointed at me during one of the songs and was like ‘yes, and you’ omfg i went mental!  Alex’s voice was perfect the whole way through, Jack was forever making sex jokes and just being perfect jumping around and climing on things and touching alex hahaha! Zack is the cutest person ever omfg and Rian is just the best drummer ever!! oh and i cried during remembering sunday lol awk.They are the best band i have ever seen live and can honestly say it was the best day of my life!!

Well this isn’t a full band show but I was lucky enough to have my Tuesday lab cancelled for Thanksgiving break so I could go up to New York City to spend the day with friends and see an intimate little acoustic sesh with none other than Alex Gaskarth. The day didn’t start off as planned because I planned on getting into the city by 9 but I overslept and missed the megabus, but I met my friend in the city and we made it standby on a 10:30 bus. There was a lot of traffic and I was having some nerves, but we made it into the city and to the venue around 1:40.

The line wasn’t as long as I anticipated and I met up with friends, and we basically passed the time talking about past shows and future plans and tumblr and all that good stuff. I missed the Summer Set who was also performing that day and I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Ready Set and I didn’t feel like leaving the line to stay him. Eventually it got to be 5 and they let us in. I was in the second or third row in Alex’s line of sight, pretty much and when he walked in the vibe was pretty chill. It was very relaxed and intimate, even though everyone was excited. He started with Dear Maria, which I was surprised with and when I asked him about it, he retorted jokingly and it made everyone laugh. He played Dear Maria, Remembering Sunday, part of Let it Roll, part of Lullabies (both of which made me cry for different reasons), Teenage Dirtbag, an acoustic version of Do You Want Me (Dead?), and Running from Lions.

He sounded great considering he was sick a few days ago and he just looked happy and it was a really great experience and I was a glad I was a part of it. He signed for everyone afterwards, and I talked to him a little bit about the Poughkeepsie show and I thanked him for calling out security because they were really rough with crowdsurfers, and he said it was no problem and he was glad I was okay. I asked him about the Syracuse show and he said he was stoked and that was it. My friends and I had all met him multiple times so we all kept it brief. We got a picture and he signed the one of me crowdsurfing as waldo and that was that.

My friend and I had some issues getting home, but other than that it was a perfect day and I don’t think I could have been happier.

This show I wasnt even supposed to be going to but my awesome friend Brittany had a extra ticket and m&g so I couldnt not go. So I traveled another three hundred miles to see the guys. Didnt get to the venue until super late because of the time change but when I got there I met up with Brittany and then I met Katie(shes amazing! if you dont follow her you should averyhustlerchristmas c:) and Taylor. This venue and m&g was super unorganized they didnt come get us for m&g till around 6:30 and Matt didnt even come get us venue workers did and they didnt even check ids which was crazy because anyone could have got in. But finally the guys came out and I went to Zack first because he had no one around him I got him to sign a ticket from the 7/14 show and he was saying how he had never seen one of them before and how he liked it and then I went to Rian and I told him how I was gonna miss them and how next tour please come to Atlanta and he was like we always do except this tour. I went to Jack next and I told him again how awesome the show was the night before and he was like yeah but I feel like this ones gonna be way better, the venue is anyway and I have to agree because the venue in TN the stage was tiny and they have poles all throughout the floor. I then told him how I was gonna miss them and he asked if it was my last show and I told him yeah and he said they would make it memorable. He then asked where I was from and I told him Atlanta, I guess bc this year hes seen me in GA,SC, TN and NC he wasnt sure where I was from. I had on my JAGK horizon shirt and he was like this shirts super comfy isnt it and he rubbed my arm and I told him it was. I dont remember much after that it was kinda a blur but I went to Alex next and he wasnt really himself both day because he was getting sick but he was still super nice I asked him for a hug and again he said of course. Then I went to barricade. The show was amazing and the crowd wasnt as rough they didnt say anything about crowd surfers until Dear Maria which I was grateful for because I was super sore from the night before. After the show I was freezing again we waited for the guys to come out they made everyone wait across the street from the buses but my friend had parked right in front of the buses so I was standing at his car but I went to say bye to Katie and when I did Jack came out and I missed him and Im super bummed because I wanted to tell him bye :/ but Alex came out and was getting swarmed and I only got a high five from him but it was better then nothing.  I cant wait to see the boys again waiting for summer is gonna be torture and Im so scared when I see them again Jack wont remember me anymore because it will be about seven months since I have seen them and that will be a letdown.

I had to travel three hundred miles to see the guys on The Rise And Fall Of My Pants tour but it was well worth it. Got to the venue around 5:30 Matt didnt come get us until around 6:15 Matt gives his usual speech then the guys come out Jack comes to my side of the room so I get in line to meet him first he takes a picture with one or two girls and when he sees me he walks up to me and says Hey friend and pulls me into a hug, again I cant believe it because I havent seen him in four monthes, I get my cd signed and get my picture and I hand him my letter and he goes to sign it then he sees his name on it and nods and sticks it in his pocket. I ask him if he sees me in the crowd if he can try to give me a pick and he tells me he will try his best, then he gets one out of his pocket and gives it to me. I tell him thank you and walk over to Rian as I’m waiting to meet Rian I feel someone hit my hair I turn around Jacks walking off smiling. I dont remember much from talking to Rian I then go to Zack and hes actually really nice and smiling and talkative which is surprising, hes always been nice but usually really quiet. I then go to Alex and I get my picture and stuff and again I give Alex a letter and he goes to sign it then he sees his name on it and sticks it in his pocket. I ask him for a hug and he says of course and hugs me. I then go to the barricade front and center the show was amazing the crowd was really rough though and I had about six crowd surfers fall on my head because half way through ATL’s set they said they hadnt seen any crowd surfers so then about thirty people proceed to crowd surf. After the show we go out to the bus we are waiting towards the back of them Matt then tells us we cant stand there because they have to load in and so we all go to the front of the bus and then he comes and tells us we cant stand there either. He tells us we have to go behind this fence but to get behind it you have to walk down the street so he go behind the fence which sucks because you cant really get pictures or anything. Its freezing out and I didnt bring a jacket with me because I didnt wanna hold it but about 30-45 minutes later Jack comes out when he gets to us I give him a handshake and tell him the show was amazing and then he looks at me and he was like I really liked your letter it was really sweet. It made me wanna cry to know he actually read it and he knew how him being so nice to me had completely changed my outlook on life these last few months. My friend then asked him if he had any guitar picks and he looked through his pockets and couldnt find any but Colussy had some and he gave my friend and my sister one. I also made Flyzik this tie Mickey blanket and gave it to him and I really wanna know if he liked it. But again the night was amazing and Im so happy to be apart of all this and to have got to meet these wonderful boys and Im so grateful for the opportunities I have had.

 I’ve been a fan for a while now, and I’m really extremely lucky to say that as of now I’ve been to 19 or 20 All Time Low shows. The Jersey show of GSYL was my 15th show, and it was basically a fairy tale. The show was 20 minutes from my house and a lot of people I talk to on tumblr were going, plus a few local friends, so I knew in advance it was going to be a good time. I got M&G for myself and my friend. A few of my friends from Boston stayed at my house with me. We left my house around 12 or 1 and got there around 1:30 and we basically hung around all day. It was really chill. The venue was pretty well organized and they handed out wristbands for GA because there was a seated portion as well. I basically hung around the venue and talked to my friends all day. ATL was running late because they were doing a signing at a mall in north/central Jersey so M&G was during WATIC and I was fine because I would rather be in the mosh pit.

M&G was pretty funny because I saw the guys after the show in Philly. Alex basically sly digged me as soon as he saw me because I was hanging back letting other people meet him and as soon as he looked at me he joked that it’d been forever. I re-injured my ankle and I asked him to sign my ankle brace and we got a picture and I told him thank you and then I went to the rest of the guys, and it was just nice talking to them and being comfortable around them. My conversation with Jack was definitely one of my favorites of all time. I asked him if he could try and throw me a pick while crowdsurfing and he said he’d try. And then I asked if he was sick of seeing me at shows because I go to a lot of them and I end up meeting them a lot whether it be M&G or after a show, and he hugged me without asking and told me he would never get sick of seeing me or anyone because it’s cool that people come out a lot and love them so much. I said thank you and hugged him again and I talked to Rian and Zack and got pictures and my ankle brace signed and then I went to hang by my friends. We missed the first song of Mayday’s set and I went into the pit and I crowdsurfed to a few songs and went to chill.

Then ATL started and the show was crazy. They were really on point and they sounded fantastic. Their set list was great and when they played the Party Scene I cried. During Jasey I crowdsurfed and Jack saw me and pointed me out, and he remembered and he put a pick in my hand and I was so happy I almost cried because he didn’t have to do that, and he did, and he’s such a sweetheart. The rest of the show was amazing and afterwards I went over to the soundboard to meet up with my friends. I said hey to Jeff and Evan and when I said hi to Evan he asked me if I wanted the set list and I thanked him and said yes. It was so random but I really appreciated it a lot. After that I met up with my friends and we went to the buses to wait for the guys and Jack, Alex, and Rian came out to sign and they signed my set list and it was just one of those nights I never want to forget.

I showed up to the venue about an hour before the doors were supposed to open after a LONG three hour drive. When I got there I met up with my friend Samantha, we hung around outside then all the guys from Paradise Fears came up and started talking to us (total sweethearts) Anyways, Flyzik comes out and pulls all the people with Hustler Club M&G aside to form the separate line. We’re all sitting there itching to get inside to see them again, to meet them, to talk to them. This was so special for me, though. We get inside and Flyzik is giving us the details on what to do and what not to do during the meet and greet then I turn around and see them coming out from behind the stage and the biggest smile appeared on my face. They all walked out and I think I died a little bit. I walked up to Alex first and handed him my 3 page long letter I wrote him explaining how much he and the band means to me. He looks at me and goes, “You look really familiar, I feel like I owe you something.” I almost died, he remembered me from July.. The show at the Tabernacle. I looked up almost in tears and said, “Yeah.. You kinda owe me a guitar pick.. Last time you told me I was shit out of luck..” He laughed and promised he’d get me one. I wasn’t entirely sure how, but the boy’s gotta thing for keeping his promises. Next we talk to Rian about how white his teeth are. Zack was being socially awkward as usual. Then we walk up to Jack.. He smelled so good, so we felt the need to say so. I said, “Jack, you smell so good!” He’s like, “Thanks! You should tell your boyfriend to buy some of this stuff!” I said, “Well.. I don’t have a boyfriend.” Jack was like, “I’ll be your boyfriend!” I started crying at that point. It was too much. So, Matt called the 5 minute warning time and I rush the front/center stage. The first bands were good, but when All Time Low came on this whole rush of energy ran through me.. Obviously the show was perfect. Alex played Remembering Sunday for me.. I knew that. The crowd cheered louder for him to play Therapy, but he looked down at me.. Then played Remembering Sunday because of the letter I wrote. They’re playing Dear Maria as the last song, obviously.. and I really didn’t think Alex was going to remember the guitar pick but right before he ended the song he looked directly at me and PERSONALLY handed me the pick. I started bawling. I couldn’t have been more impressed with them or him at that moment. It was everything I could’ve imagined. It was the BEST show I’ve ever been to in my entire life. So worth the 3 hour drive.

On July 26,2011 I went to the Just Show Up Show in South Carolina it was really hot that day and again felt like I was gonna die. Got out of the crowd before the show started because it was really hot and I didnt care for the first two people playing Cody Simpson and Iyaz so I went to get something to drink and go to where the buses are parked to my surprise Zack was out taking pictures and signing stuff so I got a picture with him (which I look terrible in:/). When it was time for ATL to play I went and got back in the crowd the set was really good but they only played like ten songs during Dear Maria I got out of the crowd so I could go stand by the buses so we could have a good spot to meet the guys. After about a hour of waiting Alex came out he said it was good to see me again and I got him to sign my Moon Pigs shirt he then was like havent I signed like eight of these for you?? I told him no this was the only one and then I asked him for a hug and he said yes and he smelled really good. Then Jack came out and when he got to us he was like hey its been a long time and I was like yes its been a while I got him to also sign my shirt and I asked him if they were coming to Atlanta on fall tour and he said he didnt think so and he asked Colussy and he also said no because they were going to cities they dont usually play, that made me sad. I asked him for a hug and he said sure and then after that we left. Again another great day.

After waiting almost five years I met All Time Low for the first time on April 2,2011 it was by far one of the best days of my life. Around 2pm my friends and I walked down to the CNN Center in Atlanta to use the restroom and as we are leaving who do we see Alex and Jack walking in. I was so nervous and shaking but we walk up to them and ask for a picture. They were really sweet but I was so in shock I didnt get to say much. Around 5pm I got to go to m&g again I was really nervous but I guess since I met them earlier that day it had kinda broke the ice so when I saw the guys come in all my nervousness melted away. I went to Alex first and when it was my turn he was like “Hey again” I told him hi and I got my picture and my cd signed and I told him thank you because ATL’s music got me through some really hard times and how sometimes they were all I had when I lost my dad, I then gave him my letter I wrote and he said thank you and gave me a hug. I went to Rian next and I told him the same thing and after I told him that he pulled me into a hug and told me he was glad they could help. I went to Zack next and I really dont remember much from him because hes very nice but quiet. Matt called that there was only five minutes left and I was so scared I wasnt gonna get to Jack but I did and by then time I got to him I was on the verge of tears from telling the other three guys how much they have helped me. Jack also was like hey again and I told him how much they helped me and he must have saw I was about to cry because someone gave him this ring with a red light on it so he kept shining it in my face to make me smile. The show was amazing and after the show we went outside to where the buses were there was a ton of people back there Alex and Jack came out to sign but we didnt get to see Alex bc they took him away quick I didnt think I was gonna get to Jack because of all the people but when he saw me he waved at me like crazy and then I got to get another picture with him. Sorry if this didnt make any sense but this was the best day ever.
